Quantifying co-culture performance as a function of condition-dependent mass exchange
Synthetic co-cultures can be used to investigate cellular interactions between populations. Therefore, a microfluidic cultivation device will be further developed to study co-cultures with complementary auxotrophies across different constant and dynamic environments. The determination of growth and affinity parameters can provide valuable insights for the development and performance of co-cultures employed in biotechnological applications.
